Tortoise Takes Play out of Uruguay's Luis Suarez's Playbook and Bites His Opponent

July 6, 2014

Social media can be bring us interesting tidbits of happiness. In this case, a video was brought to our attention of a tortoise playing ball with what looks like a Jack Russell terrier. It is definitely the cutest tortoise video I've ever seen, and I thought you might want to check it out as well. What is particularly interesting about the video is the tortoise took a play right out of World Cup player Luis Suarez's playbook, biting his (or her) opponent during the match. This tortoise is not a quitter and goes after the ball even though the dog snatches it away on several occassions. The dog, apparently doesn't like the tortoise playing with its toy. After a minute of keeping the ball away, the tortoise bites the dog on the foot, and the dog, exasperated by the tortoise's determination to play with the ball, relents at the end and lets the tortoise play with the ball.
