Time Lapse Video of Decomposing Monitor Lizard

Earth Unplugged has a very interesting video showing the decomposition of a monitor lizard. The time-lapse video, which is a series of still images captured over the course of four weeks, is interesting and gruesome to watch at the same time. The team used a pair of Canon DSLR cameras to capture the decomposition after placing the monitor lizard in an enclosed and dark "clean room." If an opportunistic feeder doesn't dispatch of such a dead reptile in the wild, certainly the fly larvae will."
